You know when you meet someone, and you just click and you get the best vibe from them? That’s exactly what happened with Kate, our wonderful Celebrant. We tasked her with the huge job of not only marrying us, but to keep it secret squirrel business as we had this grand plan to turn our engagement party into a wedding. After an initial Zoom meeting with Kate, we had such a good feeling that we had chosen the best person to marry us.
We drove from Canberra to meet her in person and once again, left knowing we had a ‘second to none’ celebrant. She helped us brainstorm every possible way that we could pull off our surprise wedding and she remained professional throughout the whole thing while still managing to make us feel like she was one of our best friends who we could trust immensely.
A few months after our initial meeting, we found out we were pregnant. Kate was literally one of the first to know as we were worried it was going to affect our surprise and because when we met her we felt comfortable to tell her anything! We also knew we didn’t want to postpone our wedding day, so we had to make it happen!
With COVID in the way to try and ruin things, Kate did everything she could to ensure that we could still get married and constantly reassured us, and checked in on us, making it very clear that she would be with us every step of the way, and boy are we glad we had her there! Our day wasn’t exactly the way we wanted it as we couldn’t have our family there, but it was as perfect as could be with the help of Kate.
Kate, we are without a doubt forever grateful to you for everything you have done for us the past 9 months since we first booked you.We could not have possibly asked for a better person/celebrant/now friend, to marry us. Right from the start, you were warm, friendly, trustworthy and professional, not to mention, a whole heap of fun!
Everything you could ever want in a celebrant. We are so very glad we stumbled across your page and even more glad that you were available to marry us, because quite frankly, we wouldn’t have wanted anyone else in the world!
